2011 Kentucky Derby Predictions: Uncle Mo Scratched Updated Picks

It’s post time, literally. The running of the 137th Kentucky derby will be held this Saturday, May 7th, at the historical Churchill Downs. Post Time for “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” is 5:24pm (CST). I bet you are wondering who’s going to win. Well, don’t run to the betting window just yet. Read our predictions, than place a wager on the winning horse.

*Uncle Mo who was one of the favorites in the Kentucky Derby has been scratched due to a mysterious internal ailment that is causing a loss of appetite. Since Ben has Uncle Mo as his winner, he has updated his pick's.

Kenny’s Picks-

I have won a few dollars here and there betting on horse races, both in Las Vegas, and the track here in Minnesota. So, I think your best bet, would be on my picks.

Win = Stay Thirsty (Jockey = Ramon Dominquez) Odds: 20-1

Place = Dialed In (Jockey = Julien Leparoux) Odds: 4-1

Show = Mucho Macho Man (Jockey = Rajiv Maragh) Odds: 12-1

Ben’s Picks-

I watched “Secretariat” last week and saw “Seabiscuit” whenever the heck that came out. Also usually I make 3-4 treks to the Minnesota horse racing Mecca that is Canterbury Downs. So it’s safe to say…I know horse racing mmk?

With Uncle Mo now out, Dialed In the favorite will runaway with the Derby.

Win = Dialed In (Jockey = Julien Leparoux) Odds: 4-1

Place = Archarcharch (Jockey = Jon Court) Odds: 10-1

Show = Nehro (Jockey = Corey Nakatani) Odds: 6-1
