Joe Mauer Update and AL Central Power Rankings 5/9-5/15

AL Central Power Rankings 5/9-5-15 and Joe Mauer update.

Is this truly the year of Charlie Sheen? Because all the Indians are doing, is winning, duh. And, they are doing it without Ricky “Wild-Thing” Vaughn. They are getting great comeback years from Travis Haffner and Grady Sizemore. The pitching is the best in the AL Central and the defense is helping the pitchers. I know everyone keeps saying this team can’t keep it up all year, but, I’m starting to think they just might. I think they will make the playoffs, if not for their record, for the poor play by the other teams in the division. Keep your eye on this team. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, get your ticketed punched before it’s to late.

Hey Joe, where are you? Is that you taking some lite batting practice before the game today? I sure hope so, because the Twins could really use you, as well as Thome, Delmon, Cuddy and Justin. What happened to the Twins? Well, even with Mauer taking some BP today, it seems that Mauer might still be a few weeks out from even playing in a minor league rehab game. I know, I’m a huge Mauer apologist, but this is getting crazy. It wouldn’t be so glaring if the above players were stepping up and if Mauers back-up, Drew Butera, wasn’t batting a whopping .115. Joe wasn’t knocking the cover off the ball while he was playing (.235), but that is more than double what Drew is doing. Yuck. Will the only bright side of the Twins year be the no-hitter? My guess at this moment is yes.
