Joe Mauer Update 6.14.11 - Where have you gone Joe DiMauerio

Joe Mauer’s minor league stint looks to be coming to a close. In seven games, Mauer’s batting average was .261, with one home run, three walks and six RBI’s. He threw out two-of-two would-be base stealers as well. Mauer went 1 for 3 with a home run in his last game with the Miracle and commented after the game, "Any time you hit a home run, it feels good, but tonight I felt like I was seeing some pitches and kind of getting closer to where I need to get timing wise."

Mauer is scheduled to continue his rehabilitation today at the Lee County Sports Complex. On Wednesday morning, he hopes to face Twins reliever Joe Nathan, who is on a rehabilitation assignment. After that, Mauer could rejoin the Twins barring any setbacks.
