STOB's British Open Predictions

Guest: Reed

1. Rory – playing the best golf of anyone in world. Throw in the home crowd aspect and the fact that both par 5s are reachable for him (and not everyone) he should be the favorite.

2. Stricker – With high rough and fast and true greens, this course favors a straight hitting putting wizard, this is Steve Stricter to a T.

3. Graeme MacDowell – Being good friends with Rory McIlroy he is certainly inspired. Being a steely competitor and breaking through as a major champion already I expect him to ride the Northern Ireland fans to success.

Ken:

1. Rory McIlroy- Gotta stick with the hot hand. Not to mention, I don't know much about golf. I'm a par 3 and a 6 pack golfer.

2. John Daily - Why? Because he has the best golfing outfits ever.

3. Bubba Watson - Awesome name. This guy sounds like a Nintendo 64 golfing game player. How can you not win?

Ben:

1. Jason Day - At some point his great golf will get him better than 2nd in a major tournament.

2. Steve Stricker - Rides the momentum of the miracle 18th at the John Deere Classic.

3. Lee Westwood - Always solid, never amazing...he'll just be in the running.

Derrick:

1. Rory - I'm not sure if anyone can beat this young phenom right now.  His confidence is sky hi and he has more twitter followers everyday.

2. Martin Kaymer - Even though Rory gets most of the publicity, don't count out Martin, he does still have a higher world ranking than his younger competitor.

3.  Louis Oosthuizen -  Defending champion and great links style player, he definitely can be a contender in this years British Open. He also has a great name and its fun to say.
