Syracuse's Fab Melo to Miss 2012 NCAA Tournament

Per the Syracuse University Athletics website, "Syracuse University sophomore men's basketball center Fab Melo did not travel with the team to Pittsburgh, and will not take part in the NCAA Tournament due to an eligibility issue. Given University policy and federal student privacy laws, no further details can be provided at this time."

HUGE news for all of you that have, or plan to, fill out your bracket.  While Fab Melo isn't the top scorer for the Orange, he is the center piece as the main big man for Syracuse and his loss definitely hurts them.  Prior to the loss to Cincinnati in the Big East Tournament over the weekend, the only other loss this season for Syracuse came against Notre Dame without Fab Melo. Melo missed that game due to academic ineligibility that he later corrected and was reinstated.

I will be editing my Bracket Breakdown due to this news.  Make sure you check out my post about major college programs and their struggles with following the rules.  Enough wasting your time, go re-check your STOB Bracket Challenge bracket and make any changes that this news may entice you to make.
