Congratulations to 1st Annual Miss STOB Winner Jana Skrtic

Miss STOB 2012 Winner - Jana Skrtic QB, Minnesota Valkyrie

It was a hard fought battle between a great group of beautiful and talented Minnesota women.  In the end it was the Valkyrie quarterback Jana Skrtic that goes home with the win, beating out runner up WCCO Reporter Natalie Kane in the finals.  Jana came in as the one seed, and even though the seeding was completely random, she played to the part of the one seed very well.

After putting away a very scrappy Fox 9 reporter Kelsey Soby, Jana rolled over KSTP reporter Leah McLean.  That set up an all Valkyrie semi final with her wide receiver Whitney Meierotto taking her on in our highest vote total match up of the competition.  In the end Jana edged Whitney for a spot in the finals, where she ended up beating Kane by a relatively comfortable margin.

Thanks to all the Miss STOB contestants and to all who voted for making the 1st Annual Miss STOB competition a great success.  We are hoping to catch up with Miss STOB 2012 Jana Skrtic this weekend at the Valkyrie's tryout, get pictures, talk to her about her big win, and of course deliver her prize.

We will start right now taking nominations for next year's Miss STOB.  Either leave a comment in this post or the Miss STOB post, or you can always email Derrick at derrick@stobblog.com.

Here is the final bracket:
