March Madness is, without a doubt, the best time of year when it comes to sports.
Well, unless you are a Gopher fan….then it’s just kind of depressing. Another time to wonder, “What went wrong this year?” – But I digress.
Buzzer beaters, come from behind wins, underdogs and Cinderella runs, oh my! It has it all. Best part is, it isn’t just the “The Big Dance” that is fun; the conference tournaments before are just as exciting. The kid above had a blast!
The tournament always has you wondering if this will be the year a 16th seed will finally take down the giant that is a 1 seed. Will some unknown college make it a few rounds and bust some brackets? There is only one way to find out.
I really do love it. I take Thursday and Friday off of work to sit at home and overindulge in bad food, cold drinks and basketball; it’s amazing.
Even if you aren’t a basketball fan or even a sports fan, it is still fun to watch. Everyone loves to cheer for an underdog in any situation in life; why not do it with basketball? Hell, you could even win some money if you pick enough teams to win. Just ask around, I’m sure some guy in your office has a bracket pool going.
March Madness is better than Christmas, Easter, Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving and the 4th of July combined; you really can’t beat it. Don’t believe me? Do yourself a favor and watch.
Much like Pringles – Once you pop, you can’t stop. You will be checking your phone, asking your friends and rushing home to see if your “pick(s)” are still in the dance.
So get your highlighters, comfortable pants, snacks and adult beverages ready. This year might just be one of the best. Just don’t get your heart too set on one team; your picture might end up on a blog like this one.
